the cause of GREAT sadness

When we were visiting the fam over the last holiday I dropped a hint or 4,000 two about keeping the adorable Moosh while his parents went out to pick up a few things.
When the little bro called to say he had finally given in to my subtle hints, no one can image how excited I was at the possibility of having the Moosh's full attention on me, his FAVORITE.

As they say "hind sight is 20/20." I can see now where my plan failed, I took the Pa and the Kid with me. Yeah, makes complete sense now, how will his attention me totally on me if there are others around?

So, he spent the entire time no less than 4 feet from the Pa, and only that great a distance to play with the Kid. Here is proof:

But it gets much worse, look at this:
Don't think that we spent the entire time on the couch. That boy is a bundle of energy! These pics were taken about the time he would possibly have a morning nap. But, how could he take a nap when the object of his affection was in the house! ARG! Why!?!?! I am his favorite!

I do have one small sliver of hope. If you ask him who his favorite is, he does point to me. So, if I can just continue to work in that direction maybe it will soon become a reality.

To all those on my Christmas list (if you have to ask, you aren't) -

Unless you give me some idea of what you want and/or could use this year, you will receive and XL pack of toilet paper. They way I see things, tp is something we all use and therefore won't sit in a corner collecting dust or get tossed in the trash (well, at least not until it has served its purpose).

Consider yourself notified.

I do have a Costco membership and am most certainly not afraid to use it.

It's a GIRL!!!! The happy dance is well underway in this house because we are gonna get a GIRL!!!! Oh, the brother does not know what he is in for with a girl, but he'll find out soon enough. ~snicker~

In the mean time the FAVORITE AUNT, me, can spoil her rotten.

We have been playing catch up for a week or so now. Besides, I don't really have any interesting pics to share....yet. We are hosting a "thing" Saturday and I hope to post pics of some of the yummy food we serve. There will be things like candied squirrel brains, toe jam dip, kitty litter cake and much, much more. So, if you can stomach it check back in a couple of days and see all the delicious food you missed out on.

some "fluff" from the experts

Well, my pictures don't do them justice.

These flowers were all did up by my friend for a brunch yesterday. I received many compliments on them, along with questions as to whether or not I arranged them. My response was always sort of a cross between a snort and laugh. "Yeah, like I have that kind of talent," was pretty much what I was thinking. No, that arrangement was done by someone with real talent, I can only pretend.
